An Ice cream station is an easy, cheap and fun way to include a party favorite to your kid’s birthday party. Here are some tips on how to set one up.
You will need:
Ice cream
An ice cream scoops
Small plastic bowls
Colored plastic spoons
Toppings could include colored sprinkles, chocolate sprinkles, smashed Oreo cookies, M & M’s, chopped peanuts etc.
Syrup – Chocolate, strawberry, and caramel
Setting up:
Table for your station – You will need a small sized party table with a colored table cloth, balloons, streamers and a sign to get your station noticed.
Lay out your table – Layout your table with your frozen yogurt spoons, bowls, and napkins. Place your toppings on one end of the table with ample space for your server to serve the kids.
Time limit – Since ice cream melts, decide on a time your ice cream station will be in action. You can let the kids know in advance and give them a heads up before the station opens.
Cooler – Keep a small cooler underneath the table, so that ice creams that are not yet in use, can be kept cold.
To save on costs, you can opt for simple flavors like chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. The best way to get all your flavors in one container is to buy Neapolitan family size tubs, which include all three flavors, which makes serving a breeze.
